Cera Halvorsen is a 26-year-old medical technician on board a space ship. She is caregiver for a group of young settlers who have been raised in an experimental program preparing them to colonize an alien planet.
Once they arrive at their destination, her charges adapt to the environment and begin taking on the characteristics of the vanished inhabitants. Cera realizes she can no longer cling to the safety of her past, but must embrace a terrifying change if she is to help free the settlers from Earth’s tyranny.

Alternate History Fantasy
A nobleman is able to sift through people’s minds and tell if they are speaking the truth. But after being implicated in an attempted coup, he loses everything; his wife, family connections and military career. Even his unique gift is removed from him.
Banished to a monastery, he must figure out who he is without the outward trappings that have defined him, and discover a way to keep his country from plunging into another devastating war.
